The following areas must be intact without peeling, chipping, or cracking. If deterioration in any of these areas exists, no interior clearance test can be performed:

- Wood Partitions
- Shelving
- Support Posts
- Stairs/ Stringers
Door Jambs
- Any Friction/Rubbing Surfaces (Bare Wood)
- Stairs
- Stringers
- Handrails
- All Interior Doors (No Chips, Cracks, Etc.)
Wood windows
- Sashes on Both Sides
- Jambs
- Window Sills
- Any Wood Window Stops (Particularly Between Storm Window/Sashes) Window Wells (the Recessed Pocket at the Bottom Where the Window Closes)
Vinyl Windows
- Exterior Stop Molding (Especially if the Storm Window Is Still on)
Attics
- All The Same Apply Including
- Stairs
- Stairway Walls
- Windows
Interior Rooms
- All Baseboards
- Door/Window Casings
Cabinets
- Inside Cabinets
- Particularly Sink Base
Walls & Ceilings
- Any Deteriorated Surfaces (Peeling, Cracks)
Enclosed Porches
- All the Same, Conditions Apply
Closets (Inside)
- Walls/Moldings
